Hello - I wanted to share a recent press release with you.

As we near the end of the first month of the year, I began thinking about resolutions. I have culled the following resolutions from the case workers I communicate with throughout the year. I used the following selection criteria to compile the list below: 

Scary Truths About Heroin Addiction

The life of every case worker I know, whether in Substance Abuse, Child Welfare, Mental Health, Emergency Assistance, or Juvenile Justice, has been affected by the new epidemic of heroin addiction. Nobody wants to talk about it, but it is everywhere; and not just among urban street kids or Chinatown's opium dens.

Finding the Right Answer

When we were children our parents, teachers, clergy, and community leaders taught us that doing the right thing was simple; don’t lie, obey the law, protect others from harm, and keep one’s promises. They led us to believe that making the right choice was obvious. To us it appeared that they always did the right thing, so we had better follow their lead if we wanted to grow up to be upstanding members of society - Simple.
