FEAR is the social worker’s most formidable enemy. Vulnerable people at risk are the social worker’s constituents, and vulnerable people at risk are, of course, full of fear. Persistent fear always morphs into anger setting up a self-destructive spiral in the vulnerable. Whether working with a population of addicts, immigrants, children at risk, or the elderly, helping clients overcome fear is the first job of the social worker.

What Exactly is a Charter School?

The charter exempts the school from certain state or local rules and regulations, but the charter school must meet the accountability standards outlined in its charter.

It starts young, if they are sports minded, they have to grow up to be the next Tiger Woods. If they are smart, they are pushed to be a rocket scientist or similar.

A Trend Toward Kinship Care and Placement is Definitely Due!
As an adopted person who was separated from my twin brother at one year of age, I especially have a strong commitment to this trend. Although, I could not have landed in a better household with very loving parents the entire process was certainly less structured than today’s process.

Lincoln – An agreement on a contract to continue to provide child welfare case management in Douglas and Sarpy counties has been reached by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and Nebraska Families Collaborative (NFC).
