GVT began operations in 1997 when Chris Freund, the company's founder and CTO, was approached to create a web-based case management platform for a consortium of child welfare agencies in Missouri. Web-based case management did not exist at the time and GVT proceeded to build the first version of FAMCare. The early success of FAMCare indicated a growing demand for web-based case management software and soon after, the state of Michigan's juvenile justice division awarded a multi-million-dollar contract to GVT to build a statewide enterprise juvenile justice solution to track data on all of Michigan's troubled youth in the system.
Global Vision Technologies is continually upgrading the existing products, and this reflects the company's ongoing commitment to delivering innovative, powerful and robust solutions for social workers and human services organizations.
