Today’s hectic technology driven culture is so fast paced that oftentimes we need a little bit of help to get through the day.  I’ve created a list of five of my favorite apps that help me plan, navigate, and prepare for a perfect day.

Pandora

Pandora is a customizable internet radio app that allows the user to customize their listening preferences.  I can set up various radio stations based on specific artists, genres of music or specific songs.  If I’m going shopping I might want to play something like ‘Eye of the Tiger’ on my way to get pumped up for my adventure.  On the trip home I might prefer to listen to ‘We are the Champions’ to celebrate my savings victory in the department stores.

RetailMeNot

No matter the season, holiday, or reason for shopping this app has an in-store coupon or promo (promotional) code to help you maximize your savings.  Long gone are the days when I had to sit in front of my computer and visit tons of websites to print coupons.  With this mobile app I can receive alerts for any deals that are in my immediate area or search for specific stores or deals that I am looking for.   I can even find deals for restaurants and movie tickets while I am on the go.

Fandango

Anytime that I need to find out what movies are currently playing or what’s coming next I check the mobile app Fandango. This app allows me to store my favorite movie genres, theatres, credit cards, and movie membership cards. No matter the location I can find a movie I’d like to see and a theater that’s between my current locations and home.  Because my membership number for all the theaters that I frequent are already associated with my account I don’t have to worry about keeping the cards on me or forgetting to use them because with the app the right card is automatically used.

Yelp

After a long day of shopping and savings I’m famished and what better way to find a restaurant with good reviews that’s close to my current location, even the ability to search by cuisine, price and, dining style.  With this mobile app I can save restaurants that I plan to visit, provide reviews on places that I have been, and check out details of restaurants that are usually not found on the official restaurant website.  Reviews on this website are by users so I can check to see if someone who has the same taste as I do, like a restaurant that I’m thinking about visiting.  I can see user tips about the best dishes to order, with photos, the best times to visit and which servers offer the best service.

GIF Keyboard

In today’s social media age it’s hard to keep up with all of the new ways to interact or engage with people. Oftentimes I find myself confused by which emoji or text abbreviation to use which makes the person on the other end of the conversation bored.  This app allows me to spice up my messages with GIF’s that clearly display the emotions that I am trying to convey.  With this easy to use app I simply search for a keyword that describes the feeling or emotion that I wish to convey, choose the perfect GIF, and then I copy and paste it into my message.  This is a quick and easy way to keep up with today’s social media savvy society.
