I came across this article and wanted to share it with our readers.  As the school year is coming to an end children are getting excited to have school free days and summer plans; but not all children look forward to that break.

There are many low-income children that dread school break because it is a time that they have to worry where their next meal is coming from.  Fortunately there are programs out there with these children in mind.

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) ensures that low-income children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session. This summer, USDA plans to serve more than 200 million free meals to children 18 years and under at approved SFSP sites.

Help USDA ensure that no child goes hungry this summer.
