Moms should truly be celebrated 365 days out of the year, but Mother's Day gives us the opportunity to really show them our appreciation.
We asked everyone at GVT to say a little something about their mothers. We had a collection of poems, stories, lessons learned, and kind words about everyone’s moms.
One story in particular stuck out to me, the story of April’s mother:
“My Mother is one of the sweetest people I've ever known. She loves babies and said all she ever wanted to be was a "Mom". It was grace that brought me into her life since she and my Father weren't able to conceive and my biological parents couldn't keep me. I named my daughter Grace as testament to that. All my life I have been told that I was really wanted and her unselfish love was proof to that fact.
Although she's recently fallen into pretty severe dementia I will always remember her as the sweet loving mother that she always wanted to be and has been.”
We work with adoption, foster care and long-term care facilities on a daily basis, and our own CEO was adopted by a loving set of parents - and utilizes a long term care facility to help aid in the care of her mother. Those are the stories we love to hear from our clients.
We'd like to wish all of the moms out there a
VERY HAPPY Mother's Day!
